7.00 Chelmsford: It’s Never Ordinary At bet365 Handicap: We return to action after a couple of days off with a few selections from Chelmsford and the first of which comes within the 7.00 which is a Class 5 handicap over five furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Angle Land here for Robert Cowell and Hayley Turner. She’s not won for quite a while now, however, she showed signs of promise last time out at Southwell when three and a half lengths behind the winner when not getting a clear run. She’ll contest this off two pounds lower than her last winning mark and she should have enough ability to be competitive within Class 5 company. Angle Land – 12/1 (Each-Way)
7.30 Chelmsford: Download The bet365 App Handicap: My second selection of the evening comes within the 7.30 and this is a Class 6 handicap that’s ridden over seven furlongs. I’m with Francisco here for Patrick Chamsings and Alfie Redman who takes off seven pounds. He’s been slowly away in all of his three handicap starts to date, however, he has stayed on to place the last twice at this course as well as Wolverhampton over six furlongs. Both of those efforts gave the impression that this extra furlong should suit and I think he’s got every chance of getting closer on this occasion. Francisco – 6/1 (Each-Way)
8.00 Chelmsford: bet365 6 horses Challenge Handicap: My concluding selection of the evening comes in the 8.00 and this is Class 4 handicap action that’s contested over a mile. I’m taking a chance on Charming Whisper here who’s currently trading at a best price of 8/1 for Phillip McBride and Warren Fentiman who takes off five pounds. He posted a satisfactory effort on reappearance over course and distance last month when finishing fifth of eight and four and a quarter lengths behind the winner. He should strip fitter for that effort here and with the extra five pounds coming off his back via his rider I think he could post a bold bid. Charming Whisper – 8/1 (Each-Way)
