12.28 Lingfield: BetUK: It’s Where The UK Bets Handicap: I’ve got three selections on Thursday, the first of which comes within the 12.28 at Lingfield which is a Class 6 handicap on the all-weather over a mile and four furlongs. I’m going in again here on Forge Valley Lad for David Simcock and this time the mount of Luke Morris. He’s bounced back to form over his last three starts, finishing third, second, and fourth and his time in the winner’s enclosure is surely soon. He has the added bonus of Morris back on board who finished a neck second on him on his penultimate start and he looks a very solid each-way play in this. Forge Valley Lad – 13/2 (Each-Way)
3.07 Lingfield: £30 In Free Bets With BetUK Handicap: My second selection also comes from Lingfield and in the 3.07 which is more Class 6 handicap action this timer over a mile and two furlongs. I’m with Come On John here, who’s another horse I’ve put up previously and is trained by James Owen. He’ll be ridden by Jordan Williams here who takes off five pounds and he’s ultra-consistent, coming into the race with form figures of 132222. He was a bit too keen at Newcastle on his most recent outing so he’ll need to settle better, however, he has five pounds coming off his back on this occasion and that could prove key. Come On John – 7/2 (Win)
7.30 Chelmsford: Best Odds Guaranteed At bet365 Handicap: The third and final pick for me on the day will come within the 7.30 at Chelmsford which is another Class 6 handicap and this time over seven furlongs. I’m siding with the old boy Triggered here for Mark Loughnane and Hector Crouch. He’s been tumbling down the weights and ran his best race for a while last time out at Kempton when finishing fourth of thirteen and two and three-quarters of a length behind the winner. He’ll contest this off a mark which is ten pounds lower than his last winning one and he should be putting his best foot forward in this grade. Triggered – 4/1 (Each-Way)
