Welcome abord to this Tuesday Blog where I’ve got three selections to share with all of you fine people. The first of which comes from the 1:30 at Lingfield which is a Class 4 Handicap Hurdle that’s ridden over two miles. I like the chances of Saligo Bay here at 4/1 for the team of Jamie and Gary Moore. He’s an extremely consistent four-year-old gelding, who’s only been out of the top two over obscales on one occasion in seven outings, most recently, he finished second of seven at Fakenham in October and has been left on the same mark. If repeating that effort here he’s got every chance of going one better.

For my second punt of the afternoon I’m staying at Lingfield for their 3:30 which is the Sharon Knapp Memorial Cup, they don’t get much bigger than this. A Class 3 Handicap Hurdle over two miles and seven furlongs, of which I’m taking a chance on Emitom at 7/1 for Warren Greatrex and Tom Scudamore. He was a Grade 2 winner over hurdles just a couple of years back, but has since lost his way somewhat. However, he did show some signs of life last season, among some really poor runs, and I think he’s on a mark here which he’s more than capable of running well off. If anywhere near his better runs of last season I think he’s in with a chance.

The 8:00 at Chelmsford is where my third and final selection of the day comes from. The race is a Class 4 Handicap that’s contested over a distance of a mile and four and a half furlongs. In this particular affair, I like the chances of Brasca at 7/2 for Ralph Beckett and Rob Hornby. He’s six-year-old gelding by Nathaniel, and is a fairly consistent sort, most notably around this track where he has form figures of 112 and has tasted success here off a higher mark in the past. On his most recent outing at Kempton, he posted a solid effort when finishing fourth of twelve, and off the same mark here I think he could well go closer at a track he clearly enjoys.
