11.45 Lingfield: Weekly £5 Free Bet With BetUK Handicap: Kicking things off for me on Friday will be the 11.45 at Lingfield which is a Class 6 handicap over six furlongs. I’m with Fai Fai in this for the team of Daniel Steele and Jack Doughty who takes off three pounds. He posted his best effort for a while over course and distance last time out and that run came within Class 4 company, two grades higher than what he’s contesting here. If he turns up in the same kind of form for this particular assignment he should be going very close off a mark that’s effectively two pounds lower than his last winning one. Fai Fai – 4/1 (Each-Way)
2.55 Lingfield: Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Handicap: My second selection of the day comes within the 2.55 at Lingfield which is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over a mile and four furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of Tortured Soul here for Tony Carroll and Jack Doughty who takes off three pounds. He’s won an impressive seven times from thirteen outings on the all-weather and was in the winner’s enclosure on his most recent outing at Wolverhampton last month. He’ll contest this off the same mark as that latest success with a further three pounds coming off his back from his rider, and I think he has to have a huge chance to follow up. Tortured Soul – 13/8 (Win)
5.15 Newcastle: Weekly £5 Free Bet With BetUK Handicap: It’s over to Newcastle for selection number three and the 5.15 which is a Class 5 handicap over five furlongs. I think that Thunder Star can go well in this particular affair for Jessica Macey and Lewis Edmunds. He comes here in good form having placed in his last three outings, with the last two runs coming over course and distance. He remains on the same mark for his three-quarters of a length second here last month and if he turns up in the same he should be going close once again. He looks to be a very solid each-way play for me. Thunder Star – 6/1 (Each-Way)
6.45 Newcastle: Free Bets With BetUK Bet Club Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap: My fourth and final selection on the day comes within the 6.45 at Newcastle which is Class 6 handicap action for amateur jockeys over six furlongs. I’m with Fircombe Hall here for Phillip Kirby and Shay Halton who takes off five pounds. He’s been knocking at the door for a while now and was a close-up fourth of ten at Southwell last week. This track suits him well as he’s a course and distance winner, with those victories coming off similar marks and I think that another bold showing is likely. Fircombe Hall – 7/2 (Win)
