4.03 Newcastle: Best Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap: My first selection on Wednesday comes within the 4.03 at Newcastle and this is a Class 6 handicap that’s contested over seven furlongs. I like Lahab in this who represents the team of Michael Wigham and Dylan Hogan. I put him up on his most recent outing which came here last week where he finished third of nine, doing his best work late. That run suggests a step up in trip could bring out improvement and he’s been dropped a pound for his struggles. I think he should be going very close. Lahab – 4/1 (Each-Way)
6.30 Kempton: Free Bet With Unibet’s Betbuilder Rebound Handicap: The second of my two picks on the day comes from Kempton and in the 6.30 which is Class 5 handicap action over six furlongs. I’m with Big R here for Eve Johnson Houghton and Olive Carmichael who takes off seven pounds. He enjoys it around here and ran well once again last month on his most recent outing when finishing fifth and two lengths behind the winner Grenham Bay, who he’ll reoppose here. I think that he can turn around the form with that rival on this occasion given the swing in the weights and he’s effectively eight pounds lower than his last winning mark taking the rider’s claim into consideration.
