Carlisle Fakenham

Tuesday Tips. (19/11/24)

Tuesday 19th November 2024

Saturday Preview (19)

12.30 Carlisle: My Pension Expert Novices’ Handicap Chase: My first selection of the afternoon on Tuesday comes from Carlisle and in the 12.30 which is a Class 4 novice handicap chase that’s contested over three miles and half of a furlong. I like Lady In The Park here for Lucinda Russell and Derek Fox. She was a staying on fourth of nine on her chase debut at Wetherby last month which suggest this step up in trip will suit. She should also improve for that seasonal reappearance and can post a big effort here. Lady In The Park – 7/2 (Win)

1.03 Carlisle: My Pension Expert: Your Trusted Advisers Maiden Hurdle: I’m staying at Carlisle for my second selection of the day and this comes within the 1.03 which is a Class 4 maiden hurdle over two miles and four furlongs. I’m with Ira Hayes in this particular affair for the team of John McConnell and Ben Harvey who takes off three pounds. He was an impressive winner in his second start under rules within a Wexford bumper last month, winning by six lengths. This doesn’t look a particularly deep affair and this winning pointer has to enter calculations. Ira Hayes – 11/10 (Win) (NAP)

1.55 Fakenham: Fakenham Proudly Supports British Farming Families Novices’ Handicap Hurdle: It’s over to Fakenham for my third selection and the 1.55 which is a Class 5 mares handicap chase over two miles and five furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of Cluain Aodha here for Neil King and Jack Quinlan. She kept on in the closing stages of her chase debut at Uttoxeter earlier this month when finishing third of thirteen, and four lengths behind the winner. She should improve for that run and this extra furlong should also suit her. It would be disappointing should she not go well. Cluain Aodha – 13/8 (Win) (NB)

3.15 Carlisle: Don’t Retire Without My Pension Expert Handicap Chase: My fourth and final selection of the day comes back from Carlisle and in the 3.15 which is a Class 5 handicap chase that’s ridden over a distance of two miles. I’m with Walk On Quest here who’s another for Lucinda Russell and Derek Fox. He was a winner on his chase debut at Kelso last month, getting up by three-quarters of a length, and has been nudged up five pounds for his troubles there. That may not be enough to prevent him from following up again though, and it’s likely that he’ll go well again here for a yard who are in solid form. Walk On Quest – 15/8 (Win)
