2.05: Winton Fillies Maiden: After a frustrating couple of days on the punting front we head to Ireland on Monday for Gowran Park and kicking things off for us will be the 2.05 which is a fillies maiden over a mile. I like Quatrain here for Henry De Bromhead and Billy Lee. She chased home Mataariki on her debut who I fancy for the feature race late in the card. That was a very encouraging run and if she progresses from that outing here she can have a big say. Quatrain – 13/8 (Win)

2.35: KCLR 96FM Apprentice Handicap: My second selection of the day comes in the 2.35 which is an apprentice handicap over a mile. It might be worth taking a chance on Tiffany Mae here for the team of Jessica Harrington and Danny Power who takes off four pounds. She took a step forward last time out when finishing fifth at Cork and looks less exposed than some of her rivals here. She’s upped in trip which could well bring out more improvement and I think she looks like a solid each-way bet. Tiffany Mae – 13/2 (Each-Way)

3.35: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Gowran Classic: The feature race of the afternoon comes up at 3.35 and it’s the Gowran Classic over a mile and a furlong and a half. I like Mataariki here for Joseph O’Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle. She made an impressive start to her racing career when winning by three and three-quarters of a length here back in April, going away at the finish. She’s up in trip here which should suit as she’s bred for further and should have no issue with the soft ground as she’s by Cracksman. If progressing from her run last time she can have a big say. Mataariki – 6/1 (Each-Way)

4.05: Brian Dunlop Architects Kilkenny: Next up it’s the 4.05 which is maiden company that’s also over a mile and a furlong and a half. I like Duraji here for the team of Dermot Weld and Chris Hayes. He makes his racecourse debut here boasting a fine pedigree and he’ll contest a race that doesn’t look to have a great deal of depth to it. If he’s above average, which looks likely, he could get off to the perfect start here over a distance he should be comfortable at. Duraji – 13/8 (Win)

4.35: Lord Bagenal Inn Carlow Handicap: My fifth and final selection of the day comes in the 4.35 which is handicap action that’s once again contested over a distance of a mile and a furlong and a half. I’ve come down on See Me Through here for Ross O’Sullivan and Shane Foley. He posted two fine efforts in competitive handicaps at the start of his campaign, finishing fourth in each of them before getting off the mark in comfortable style in a maiden at Killarney last month. He still looks progressive and if he can manage a tough draw here he can certainly get involved. See Me Through – 13/2 (Each-Way)
