.35 Ludlow: ORJ Law Firm Handicap Hurdle: My first selection of the day on Wednesday comes in the 2.35 at Ludlow which is a handicap hurdle that’s contested over three miles. I’m with Fortunate Man here on his handicap debut for the team of Jonjo O’Neil and Jonjo Jr. He’s won two races within maiden and novice company and looks a progressive sort for JP McManus, he kept on last time over two miles and four and a half, giving the impression that a step up in trip will suit. I think he’s got every chance of going very well in this. Fortunate Man – 11/4 (Win)
.17 Catterick: Bet At racingtv.com Handicap: It’s over to Catterick on the level for my second selection of the afternoon which is a Class 5 handicap over five furlongs. I think that Vince L’Amour has to have a massive chance here under a penalty for Tim Eastery and David Allan. He’s penalised for an impressive victory at Ripon last week where he got up by five and a half lengths, and if he turns up in the same kind of form again here the rise in the weights may not be enough to stop him from following up. Vince L’Amour – 11/8 (Win) (NB)
.35 Ludlow: Dave Newnes 60th Birthday Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Hurdle: Next up for me is the 3.35 at Ludlow which is a mares novices’ hurdle that’s over two miles and five and a half furlongs. I like Giulietta here for the team of Dan and Harry Skelton. She’s a seven-year-old mare who has placed in two out of three of her handicap starts so far and she should have a race of this nature within her soon. A return to a sounder surface here could see improvement also, and I think she has a strong chance. Giulietta – 13/8 (Win)
.50 Catterick: Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap: My fourth selection comes back at Catterick and within the 4.50 which is Class 5 handicap action over seven furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Wreck It Ryley here for Alan Brown and Dale Swift. He made a very encouraging return to the track earlier this month when finishing third of thirteen at Thirsk, just three and three-quarters of a length behind the winner. He’ll contest this off the same mark and he’s also won over seven furlongs previously. Wreck It Ryley – 11/2 (Each-Way)
.05 Gowran Park: Thomastown Handicap: I’ve got two selections from Ireland on the day and the first of the two comes in the 5.05 from Gowran Park which is a handicap over seven furlongs. I’m with Summer Snow here for Michael O’Callaghan and Colin Keane. Her form figures are rather underwhelming to say the least, however, she’s now dropped down to a mark which is ten pounds lower than her last winning one. The jockey booking of Keane is eye-catching and I think she could well be geared up for a big run on her stable debut here. Summer Snow – 8/1 (Each-Way)
.15 Gowran Park: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden: My concluding pick takes place in the 6.15 at Gowran which is fillies maiden action over the mile. This looks to be another good opportunity for Dollerina for Joseph O’Brien and Dyla Browne McMonagle. She fluffed her lines when odds on last month at Dundalk, however, that was her first run of the campaign and she should progress from that effort. It would be highly disappointing should she not go very close in this particular affair. Dollerina – 11/8 (Win) (NAP)
