1.45 Huntingdon: CopyBet Supporting UK Horse Racing Juvenile Hurdle
Harry Derham may have the answer to this opener with GALLIVANTED, who’s the mount of Paul O’Brien. He was a winner on the flat and opened his account over hurdles at the second time of asking when winning at Musselburgh earlier this month. There should be more to come from him, and he’s not lightly opposed here. Chico Magnifica is an interesting recruit to this sphere for Olly Murphy; he had a rating of 79 when last seen winning on the flat and should be winning races over hurdles. Sean Bowen is also in the saddle, and he’s the second choice.
GALLIVANTED – 9/4 (Win)
Chico Magnifica – (Second Choice)
2.15 Huntingdon: First Past The Post At CopyBet “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle
It’s hard to see past the Olly Murphy-trained runner in this current affair, and that’s ZAMEK, who heads the betting under the champion jockey at a short price. He’s posted solid efforts in all three of his starts over hurdles to date, and should be getting his head in front sooner rather than later. He looks like the one that they all have to beat here. Alastair Ralph’s Maskarvel showed some promise in bumpers when trained in Ireland, and should build on his fifth-placed effort at Kempton in December, in what was his first start on these shores, and over hurdles, he’s the second choice.
ZAMEK – 1/2 (Win)
Maskarvel – (Second Choice)
2.45 Huntingdon: The CopyBet John Bigg ‘Oxo’ Handicap Chase
The majority of the line-up here are beginning to look exposed; however, that can’t be said for ICARE GRANDCHAMP (NAP) for Gary & Josh Moore. He kept on to win his third race over fences at Plumpton earlier this month, and this step back up in trip shouldn’t be an issue for him. He’s up four pounds for that three-quarters of a length success, and another bold showing is highly likely. If Reallyntruthfully puts a disappointing showing at Exeter last time out behind him, and returns to the form of his seven and a half length victory at Fontwell on his penultimate start, he’s the second choice.
ICARE GRANDCHAMP – 3/1 (Win) (NAP)
Reallyntruthfully – (Second Choice)
3.15 Huntingdon: Safer Gambling At CopyBet Handicap Chase
It could be worth taking a chance on THE BLUEBERRY ONE in this weak-looking affair for Harry Derham and Paul O’Brien. He’s not shown a great deal in both chase starts to date; however, he’s still lightly-raced for his age, showed he had some ability when second of eleven in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las last season, and this race wouldn’t take much winning. Diamond De Vindecy would be the obvious second choice, on the back of his second-placed effort at Catterick last time out.
THE BLUEBERRY ONE – 11/4 (Win)
Diamond De Vindecy – (Second Choice)
3.45 Huntingdon: Live Race Streaming At CopyBet Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle
Henry Daly’s CUILLIN RIDGE stuck to his tack well last time out at Wetherby when upped to three miles, keeping on to finish second of nine and a length and three-quarters behind the winner. That was his best effort to date, and he’ll contest this particular affair off just a two-pound higher mark. If he takes another step forward, he has to be considered a big player under David Bass. Castanea Breeze is an obvious big danger, and the one who sets the standard on his current form, he’s the clear second choice for Lucy Wadham and Tom Cannon.
CUILLIN RIDGE – 3/1 (Win)
Castanea Breeze – (Second Choice)
4.15 Huntingdon: CopyBet Daily Profit Boost Handicap Hurdle
Five-year-old THESOLDIERSMINIT showed significant improvement on his handicap debut at Market Rasen last time out when finishing half of a length third of eight for Sam Allwood, under today’s rider Jack Andrews. He kept on well that day, and will contest this off just a pound higher mark. If he’s in the same form, or even takes a step forward, there’s nothing to suggest that he can’t go well again. The unexposed Moyganny Phil will likely be dangerous for the powerful combination of Murphy & Bowen; he makes his handicap debut here, and could show considerable improvement. Therefore, he has to be the second choice.
THESOLDIERSMINIT – 4/1 (Win)
Moyganny Phill – (Second Choice)
4.45 Huntingdon: Best Odds Guaranteed Overnight At CopyBet Open National Hunt Flat Race
There could be some half-decent types in this bumper; however, MILPAT (NB) made a big impression on his UK debut for Jamie Snowden when winning over course and distance in December by three lengths, after being well-supported in the betting. Naturally, he should continue to progress coming into his second start here, and he may well take a lot of beating on the evidence of that performance. Hidden Mountain was second behind a subsequent Grade 2 winner on his rules debut when trained by Ewan Whillans. He has to be noted on debut for Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls here, as a significant improvement is likely.
MILPAT – 2/1 (Win) (NB)
Hidden Mountain – (Second Choice)
