3.00 Huntingdon: JCB Tele-Handler Maiden Hurdle: We kick things off on Tuesday with the 3.00 at Huntingdon which is a Class 4 maiden hurdle over two miles and three and a half furlongs. This can go to Ballytechno for James Owen & Sean Bowen. He made a very encouraging start for his new stable at Worcester last month when second of twelve and if building on that run here he’s got to be considered as a huge player. Ballytechno – 6/4 (Win) (NAP)
3.40 Brighton: Sky Sports Racing Virgin 519 Handicap: It’s over to Brighton for my second selection of the day and the 3.40 which is a Class 6 handicap over a mile and four furlongs. I like Fen Tiger in this for Julia Feilden and Laura Coughlan who takes off three pounds. He was beaten by only a neck here last month and should be going close again here off the same mark, which is also his last winning one. He should be ending his winless streak soon. Fen Tiger – 5/2 (Win) (NB)
3.53 Leicester: Everards 175th Anniversary Handicap: My third selection of the day comes from Leicester and the 3.53 which is a Class 4 handicap over five furlongs. I’m with Hedge Fund in this for William Muir and Chris Grassick, who’s the mouth of Lewis Edmunds. He posted his best effort for a while last time at Wolverhampton and should go close again here if backing up that latest run, on what looks like a workable mark. Hedge Fund – 7/2 (Win)
4.35 Huntingdon: JCB Hydradig Novices’ Handicap Chase: My fourth and final selection on the day comes in the 4.35 at Huntingdon which is a a Class 5 novice handicap chase over two miles and seven and a half furlongs. I like Getupearly here for Phillip Hobbs & Johnson White, who’s the mount of Michael Nolan. He’s a long-standing maiden, however, has ran well the last twice and has every chance of gaining that elusive victory here off what looks like a tempting mark. Getupearly – 7/2 (Win)
