NAP: KALYPSO’CHANCE – (2.15)
NB: DE LEGISLATOR – (2.00)

1.15 Huntingdon: DON’T MIND IF I DO should take a step forward from his seasonal reappearance when finishing third of twelve at Aintree last month, which was also his handicap debut, so further progression is likely. He looks like a lively player here for Alan King and Tom Bellamy. (Win)

1.30 Kelso: AL KALILA ran well on his chase debut over course and distance last time out, last month, finishing a keeping on second having had to recover from a bad mistake. He should show natural progression coming into his second start over the larger obstacles here, and should have a big say off a two-pound higher mark. (Win)

Sean Bowen silk

1.45 Huntingdon: ISLE OF GOLD could be worth taking a chance on here for the in-form team of Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls. He’s lightly-raced and unexposed for his age, and was last seen when finishing second on chase debut at Warwick back in January, keeping on in the closing stages. He could well prove to be a bit better than his current mark, and if he’s ready to go, could go well here. (Each-Way)

2.00 Kelso: DE LEGISLATOR won going away over three miles at Ayr last month on his first start of the campaign, and looks well worth a try at marathon trips. He’s lightly-raced for an eight-year-old, and could well have plenty of improvement still to come off his current mark. (Win) (NB)

2.15 Cork: KALYPSO’CHANCE put a disappointing defeat on seasonal reappearance when heavily odds-on behind him by winning a Grade 3 at Navan last time out, with that success coming over two miles and four furlongs. He’s up in distance again here; however, it still remains to be seen where the ceiling to his ability is. He’s a major player here for the very in-form Gordon Elliott team. (Win) (NAP)

2.37 Kelso: TRAPRAIN LAW loves it around here and is a three-time course and distance winner; he’s also got form away from here in competitive handicaps, and most notably, he’s dropped down to what looks like a very tempting mark. He could make use of his low weight here for Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore. (Each-Way)

Patrick Wadge silk

2.50 Cork: MAJBOROUGH left his Cheltenham defeat behind him when winning the Grade 1 novice chase at Punchestown by fourteen lengths on his final start of last season. He’s a highly exciting five-year-old who could be dining at the top table for several years to come. He should take a lot of beating in this. (Win)

M. P. Walsh silk

3.00 Huntingdon: SAINT SAM left could be well-suited to this track with his running style, and he’s a very smart operator on his day, winning the Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase by six and a half lengths last season. Harry Cobden takes the ride for Willie Mullins here, and the Closutton machine looks to be gearing up into top form. (Win)

Harry Cobden silk

3.15 Kelso: GIBBS ISLAND is top-rated here by a considerable margin, and has his sights lowered following a run in the Grade 3 Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham last time out. It would be disappointing if he wasn’t competitive at a minimum at this level, and he’s a definite player for Tom Lacey and Stan Sheppard. (Each-Way)
