Tingle Creek Chase Day
NAP: IL ETAIT TEMPS – (3.00)
NB: O’CONNELL – (3.35)

1.20 Sandown: KIKIJO won well by two lengths at Cheltenham last time out, in what was a competitive Class 2 handicap over three miles. He’s been raised seven pounds for that success; however, Callum Pritchard offsets three pounds with his claim, and he’s still progressing. (Win)

1.50 Sandown: LULAMBA made the perfect start to life over fences with a ten-length success on his chasing debut at Exeter last month. This requires significantly more, however, he’s a Grade 1 winner over hurdles, and he’s likely another one out of the top drawer for Seven Barrows. (Win)

2.05 Aintree: EDELAK was a useful performer on the flat, winning an eighteen-runner affair when last seen at Galway in July. He’s a very interesting recruit to this sphere for the Skeltons, and could take some beating here if he’s ready to go first time out. (Win)

2.25 Sandown: KNICKERBOCKERGLORY has a fantastic record when fresh for the Skeltons, and won this race in emphatic style last year, getting the better of the smart Nemean Lion by eight lengths. He’s six pounds higher here than that success, but he’ll likely be spot on for this assignment. (Win)

2.40 Aintree: GALIA DES LITEAUX has slipped down the weights to a tempting-looking mark, which is eleven pounds below her last winning mark. She should build on her seasonal reappearance run at Carlisle last month, and she could bounce back to form here, carrying a low weight, on a course she’s completed previously when running in the Grand National. (Each-Way)

3.00 Sandown: IL ETAIT TEMPS was a highly impressive winner of the Celebration Chase here at the end of last season, getting the better of Jonbon by five and a half lengths, and made no mistake on seasonal reappearance this term in the Clonmel Oil Chase last month when winning by eighteen lengths. He’s a serious chaser, and the one to beat here. (Win) (NAP)

3.15 Aintree: ACT OF AUTHORITY ran several big races within competitive handicaps last season, including a fine fourth-placed finish in the Martin Pipe at last year’s Cheltenham Festival. He continued this trend with a solid fourth at Newbury on seasonal reappearance back in November, and he should build on that here. He’s a player for Olly Murphy. (Each-Way)

3.35 Sandown: O’CONNELL won a competitive handicap over three miles here back in February, and followed that success up with a second-placed finish in the Eider at Newcastle. He posted an encouraing effort on his seasonal reappearance at Carlisle last month when finishing second, and should naturally build on that here. He’ll have no issue with the distance, has course form, and looks very solid. (Win) (NB)
