12.10 Leopardstown: MIDNIGHT JET was a bumper winner for Sam Curling at Killarney in the Spring, and finished a distant third on his seasonal reappearance and stable debut for Henry De Bromhead at Cork last month. There should be natural progression following that run, and he steps up in distance here, which could well unlock further improvement. He’s a reasonable price here, and could prove a solid each-way play. (15/2) (Each-Way)

12.45 Leopardstown: LAMBAY ISLAND posted a very encouraing effort on his handicap debut at Thurles last month when finishing second of twelve behind Plunkett Street. He’s still unexposed, and there should be plenty of improvement still to come from him within handicap company. He could have a big say here off just a pound higher mark for Henry De Bromhead and Darragh O’Keefe. (10/1) (Each-Way) (6 places)

1.20 Leopardstown: KISS WILL was a very useful hurdler last term, with his most notable success coming when winning a Listed contest at Perth, beating Royal Infantry by over four lengths, which is solid form. He was slightly underwhelming on his chase debut at Fairyhouse last month when finishing four lengths third, after being sent off at even money. He was likely in need of the run on that occasion, and he should be a lot more tuned up for this assignment. He should be a lot closer. (9/4) (Win)

1.55 Leopardstown: THE YELLOW CLAY suffered a surprise defeat on his seasonal reappearance in the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle at Navan last month, finishing second to Colonel Mustard by two and three-quarters of a length. The ground was very testing on that occasion, and the sounder surface here should see him to better effect. He was a very smart novice hurdler, winning the Grade 1 Lawlor’s Of Naas by eight lengths, before going down by just three-quarters of a length to The New Lion at Cheltenham. He should be a lot sharper here, and whilst Ballyburn and Teahupoo will likely be tough to beat, he offers some value against them. (8/1) (Each-Way)

2.30 Leopardstown: GALOPIN DES CHAMPS has been imperious at this track throughout his illustrious career, winning seven races here from eight starts, including the last two runnings of this race. He’ll come into the race this year without his usual run in the John Durkan, which asks a few questions of him, given he’s not getting any younger; however, he still could have the class to add a third successive victory in the race. It’d be a great sight to see him go again here, and enhance a reputation at this venue which has shades of Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros about it. (2/1) (Win)

3.05 Leopardstown: YEAH MAN is a smart chaser on his day, and has several big runs to his name among extremely competitive company, which was once again the case last time out, where he finished an excellent second of nineteen in the Grade 3 Troytown Handicap Chase. He reverts back to hurdles here for the first time in a while, and he could prove to be chucked in off a mark of 118, which is twenty pounds lower than his chase mark from last time. He also has Eoin Staples taking off a further seven via his claim, and trainer Gavin Cromwell has started to have winners again. (9/2) (Each-Way) (5 places)

3.40 Leopardstown: CITY OF CORK wasn’t given a hard time of it when finishing seventh over hurdles on his rules debut at Cork last month. He reverts to bumpers here for Joseph O’Brien, and given how he ran last time out, there’ll likely be significant improvement from him coming into his second outing. He could prove to be a solid each-way alternative outside of market leaders Lemmy Caution and Bentraghill. (13/2) (Each-Way)
