5.00 Wolverhampton: CODIAK posted his best effort to date last time out at Redcar when upped in distance, finishing a staying on second when only beaten by a head. That was his handicap debut, and he’d have to have a huge chance here if replicating that form back within novice company. He should post a bold bid. (15/8) (Win) (NAP)

6.30 Wolverhampton: AAJEJ ran on well to finish a neck second of ten when upped in trip last time out at this track. He was only beaten by a neck on that occasion and lost a shoe in the process. This even longer trip is highly likely to unlock further improvement from him, and he’s still unexposed, having only had two runs within handicap company to date. He has to be considered a serious player for the Crisfords. (15/8) (Win) (NB)

7.00 Wolverhampton: HOMME DE FER has been knocking on the door as of late on the all-weather, finishing not far behind the winner in each of his last three outings. He remains competitively weighted here and should give his running again back down at seven furlongs. He represents the Tony Carroll who farms winners throughout the winner on the all-weather tracks, and this looks like another strong challenger. (11/4) (Win)

7.30 Wolverhampton: THE COLA KID was only beaten by a neck here last week over six furlongs, in a what was a thirteen-runner affair, and has been giving the impression that he’s ready to pounce sooner rather than later, with a string of close-up finishes. He remains on the same mark as his run here last time out, and the step back up to seven furlongs shouldn’t be an issue, given how he kept on last time.  (5/1) (Each-Way)
