Fairyhouse
NAP: BALLYBURN – (2.36)
NB: MANGE TOUT – (12.35)

12.35: MANGE TOUT is a very promising juvenile for Gordon Elliott, and made the perfect start to life on these shores with a four-length success at Down Royal last month. There should be plenty of improvement still to come from her, and she should almost certainly come on a great deal following on from her first run of the campaign. She’s got every chance of having a big say here under Jack Kennedy. (7/2) (Win) (NB)

1.05: VERDANT PLACE could well be crying out for a trip like this, given how he’s kept on over three miles previously, as well as looking outpaced at times. He had a productive time of things last term, winning twice over fences, and he’ll be carrying a low weight here off what still looks like a manageable mark. He could go well here at a big price. (12/1) (Each-Way)

1.35: KOKTAIL BRUT was a smart bumper horse last term, running well at Graded level at Leopardstown and Aintree, and opened his account at the first time of asking over hurdles with a decisive nine-length success at Punchestown earlier this month. He should improve following that run, which has to make him of serious interest here for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy, sporting the Gigginstown silks. (4/1) (Win)

2.05: GOLD DANCER has gone from strength to strength over fences as of late, winning his last three starts, with the latest two runs coming within Grade 3 company. Most recently, he bolted up by eight and a half lengths at Tipperary, and whilst he possibly has a bit to find with Romio Coolio here, the Mullins charge is certainly still on the upgrade. If he continues to progress, he’s got every chance. (9/2) (Each-Way)

2.36: BALLYBURN lost his way over fences at Punchestown and Cheltenham on his last two starts of last season; however, he did still win a Grade 1 over the larger obstacles at Fairyhouse before those efforts at the Spring festivals. Notably, he was a very high-class, multiple Grade 1-winning, novice hurdler, and the return to this sphere has every chance of bringing him back to his best. If he returns to his hurdling form of a couple of seasons ago, he should give Teahupoo a serious race here. (13/8) (Win) (NAP)

3.11: ATABOYCHARLIE bounced back to form last time out at Galway when reverted back to hurdles, finishing third of fifteen, and just a length and a half behind the winner. He drops back down to two miles here; however, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue, given he’s run well over the distance previously. Given he stays further, he could take some pegging back here off a low weight, if he’s given a prominent ride. (7/1) (Each-Way)
