2.23 Hamilton: Indigo Unified Comms EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes: My first selection for the week comes in the 2.23 at Hamilton which is a maiden over six furlongs. I like Thecla here for the team of Kevin Ryan and Tom Eaves. She progressed from her debut fifth last time out at Carlisle to finish second to a well-supported newcomer. If she comes on for that run again she should have a big say in this. Thecla – 9/4 (Win)
2.35 Listowel: Tote Ireland Maiden: It’s over to Listowel for my second selection and the 2.35 which is a maiden that’s ridden over a mile. I’m with Final Curtain here for Jonny Murtagh and Shane Kelly. She posted an encouraging effort on her racecourse debut back in July when finishing fourth behind some solid-enough rivals at Gowran Park, she should improve for that run and can go well here. 4.00 Fairyhouse: Kilminfoyle House Stud Fillies’ Maiden: Next up for me is the 4.00 at Fairyhouse which is a fillies maiden event over seven furlongs. This looks like a fine opportunity for Declaree to open her account for Jonny Murtagh and Colin Keane. She’s been knocking on the door for some time now and most recently finishing third in a handicap behind the 82-rated Evening Blossom. It would be disappointing should she not win here dropped back down into maiden company. Declaree – 10/11 (Win) (NAP)
8.00 Wolverhampton: Get Raceday Ready Handicap: Finally, it’s over to Wolverhampton for the 8.00 which is a Class 6 handicap over a mile and a half. I’m strong on Waleyfa here for Daniel & Claire Kubler, who’s the mount of Billy Loughlane. She made it two wins from three starts for this yard last time out when winning comfortably at Brighton, giving the impression that there could be more wins yet to come. She’s the one they have to beat here and I think she can go in again. Waleyfa – 11/8 (Win) (NB)
