3.22 Nottingham: PricedUp.Bet Handicap: The first of two selections for me from Nottingham on Wednesday comes within the 3.22 and this is a Class 6 handicap contested over six furlongs. I’m strong on Monsieur Patat here for Adrian Wintle and Finley Marsh. He returned from a few months off the track to win well at Windsor last time out by two lengths, with that success coming within Class 5 company. If he’s in the same form here, he should be difficult to beat under what looks like a lenient four-pound penalty. Monsieur Patat – 13/8 (1pt Win)
3.52 Nottingham: Blogger The Train Stopper Fillies’ Handicap: My second selection comes within the 3.52, and this is a Class 5 fillies’ handicap that’s ridden over a mile and half of a furlong. I like Dream Illusion here for Karl Burke and Jack Nicholls, who takes off seven pounds. She opened her account on her most recent start, which came at Wolverhampton last time out over seven furlongs. Her performance that day could be marked up further, considering she was hampered and still managed to get the job done. The step up in distance here shouldn’t be an issue given how she kept on last time, and she should be going very close off just a couple of pounds higher on this occasion.
