Newbury
NAP: KADASTRAL- (12.53)
NB: LUCKY PLACE – (11.53)
Treble: CAYMAN DANCER – (12.23)

11.53: LUCKY PLACE was disappointing on his chase debut at Ascot last month, despite travelling well throughout large spells of the contest. He should improve significantly following that outing, though, and be a lot sharper here. If he starts to convert some of his hurdles form to the bigger obstacles, he could be a serious player within this division. (4/5) (Win) (NB)

12.23: CAYMAN DANCER could be a decent recruit from the flat for the Moores, and won a handicap over twelve furlongs at Wolverhampton when he was last seen on the level. The yard has a good record with these types, winning this race in 2023, and he’ll likely be ready to go here. He’s also the choice of Caoilin Quinn. (4/1) (Win) (Treble)

12.53: KADASTRAL should prove tough to beat here for the Skeltons. He was an impressive winner of a Class 2 bumper at Newbury in March and should take a big step forward from his hurdles debut at Chepstow last month, where he finished second. It would be disappointing if he didn’t take this. (8/13) (Win) (NAP)

1.23: PADRE ARTHUR looked as though he needed the run last time out when finishing sixth in a bumper here last month. He’s likely to take a big step forward following that outing and should progress over hurdles for Nicky Henderson. He could be a different proposition on this occasion (7/2) (Win)

1.58: LOOKAWAY was smart over hurdles, winning a Grade 2, as well as finishing second in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at this track. He added a chase success to his name at Uttoxeter last year, and should strip fitter following an encouraing effort over hurdles at that track in October, finishing half of a length third of ten. He’s got every chance in this (4/1) (Each-Way)

2.33: KNIGHT OF ALLEN was very consistent over hurdles, and made a solid start to life over fences when a length and a half behind the useful Coco Mademosielle at Chepstow in October. He should build on that run here, and has to be considered as a significant player off this mark on his handicap debut over fences. (4/1) (Win)

3.08: LADY LITIGATOR could be the one to side with here for the team of Anthony Honeyball and Rex Dingle. She makes a lot of appeal on paper, and the yard has a fine record in this race, winning it in 2023 and finishing second in last year’s renewal. She’s likely one of their better types. (7/2) (Win)
