Newcastle Wolverhampton

Monday Tips. (31/03/25)

Monday 31st March 2025

4.55 Wolverhampton: Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap: The first of my three selections on Monday comes from Wolverhampton and in the 4.55 which is a Class 6 handicap for amateur jockeys over six furlongs. I like Kurimu here for Archie Watson and Brodie Hampson. She returned to the track following a break at Chelmsford earlier this month and posted an encouraging effort when finishing fifth of ten and three and a half lengths behind the winner, travelling into the race well and staying on at the end despite being slowly away. She’ll contest this off a two-pound lower mark and should improve for that run, I think she can be bang there. Kurimu – 11/2 (Each-Way)

5.00 Newcastle: Grand National At Fleet Street Newcastle Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle: My second selection of the day on Monday comes at Newcastle and in the 5.00 which is a Class 5 handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys over two miles and a furlong. I’m with Wild Nephin in this for the team of Ryan Potter and Freddie Mitchell. He’s a nine-race maiden, however, he ran a fine race on his most recent outing which came at Huntingdon earlier this month when finishing second of nine behind a well-supported rival in Tara Iti. He’ll contest this off just a pound higher mark and seems to be effective on quicker ground, and he’ll likely encounter good going again here. Wild Nephin – 9/2 (Each-Way)

6.30 Wolverhampton: Free Bets With BetUK Bet Club Handicap: Selection number three comes back at Wolverhampton and within the 6.30 which is a Class 4 handicap that’s contested over a mile and a furlong and a half. I’m with Son Of Man in this for Jim Boyle and Paddy Bradley. He posted a very encouraging effort on his most recent start which came over course and distance earlier this month, when finishing third of ten and just two lengths behind the winner. That was his first start following a break and he’ll contest this off the same mark. I think he looks very solid on the back of that run off this mark. Son Of Man – 6/1 (Each-Way) (4 places – Most firms)
