2.45 Wincanton: TrustATrader Handicap Chase: My first selection of the day on Tuesday comes within the 2.45 at Wincanton which is a Class 4 handicap chase over two miles and four furlongs. I like King Arise in this for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole, who’s the mount of Charlie Hammond. He returned from a layoff at Ayr last month and posted a fine effort when second of twelve and just a neck behind the winner. He’s still very lightly-raced for a seven-year-old and if he’s to progress from his most recent effort he’s got every chance of having a big say in this. King Arise – 9/2 (Win)
3.55 Newcastle: £30 In Free Bets With BetUK Handicap: Next up will be the 3.55 from Newcastle which is a Class 6 handicap on the all-weather over five furlongs. I’m with Show Me Show Me here who represents the team of Richard Fahey and Warren Fentiman who takes off seven pounds. He traveled well here last time out over course and distance when finishing fourth of eleven and just a length and a quarter behind the winner. He remains on the same mark on this occasion with a further seven pounds coming off his back, which leaves him looking dangerously handicapped. Show Me Show Me – 8/1 (Each-Way) (4 place firms)
