Welcome aboard to this Wednesday Midweek Preview and on this edition, I’ve got four selections for you all from Catterick, Chepstow, and Fairyhouse. Please gamble responsibly if you are having a punt.
2.35 Chepstow: Betting.bet New Betting Sites Novices’ Hurdle: My first punt of the day comes from Chepstow in the 2.35 which is a novice hurdle over two miles. This looks like a good opportunity for Kourosh to get back into the winner’s enclosure for Dan & Harry Skelton. He won by over twenty-lengths on his hurdling debut back in November, before falling at Cheltenham last time when a length down. There doesn’t look too much in opposition to trouble him here, and he should go very well. Kourosh – EvsF (Win)
2.40 Fairyhouse: HAY “How Are Ya” Campaign Mares Maiden Hurdle: We go over to Ireland and Fairyhouse for my second pick of the day in their 2.45 which is a maiden hurdle over two miles and four furlongs. I’m with Jolie Coeur Allen here for the team of Willie Mullins and Mark Walsh. She’s been a slightly disappointing favourite on her first two starts to date over hurdles, finishing in the places but beaten in both, however, she should be getting her head in front soon as this represents a good opportunity. Jolie Couer Allen – 7/4F (Win)
3.00 Catterick: Every Race Live On RacingTV Novices’ Handicap Chase: My third selection of the afternoon comes in the 3.00 at Catterick which is a novice handicap chase ridden over two miles and three furlongs. I’m siding with Empty Nest here for Mark Walford and Jamie Hamilton. He’s progressing since going over the larger obstacles and was a neck third over course and distance back in December, if building on that run he’s got to be considered a live player off just a pound higher mark. Empty Nest – 5/1 (Win)
4.20 Chepstow: interbet.com Best Racing Odds Handicap Hurdle: It’s back to Chepstow for my fourth pick of the day and this comes in the 4.20 which is a handicap hurdle over two miles and three and a half furlongs. I like Mumbles here for Evan Williams and Adam Wedge, who’s currently a 4/1 chance in the betting. He was second behind the progressive Hill Of Tara here back in November, when tiring late on in the race, he’s now dropped in trip slightly and should make his presence felt again in this assignment. Mumbles – 4/1JF (Win)
