Feature Meetings: Listowel, Hamilton, Plumpton

Saturday Preview (8)

2.20 Plumpton: Oakleaf Builders Sussex Mares’ Maiden Hurdle: My first selection on Sunday comes at Plumtpon and in the 2.20 which is a Class 4 maiden hurdle over two miles and four and a half furlongs. This looks like a good opportunity for Dameofthecotswolds for the Twiston-Davies team. She’s got by far the most solid form on offer here and it would be disappointing should she not make amends her for her short-priced defeat last time. Dameofthecotswolds – 10/11 (Win) (NAP)

3.30 Listowel: Dairygold Maiden Hurdle: It’s over to Listowel now for the 3.30 which is a maiden hurdle over two miles and six furlongs. I’m siding with Jasko Des Dames here for Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore. He sets the standard here and for me is the one they have to beat, he looked outpaced last time at Galway when finishing sixth and I think this extended trip will unlock further improvement, in what is an ordinary contest. Jasko Des Dames – 9/4 (Win)

4.42 Hamilton: Follow Us On X @HamiltonPark Handicap: My third selection of the day comes at Hamilton and the 4.42 which is a Class 5 handicap over six furlongs. I like Hierarchy here who should go well for Jamie & Saffie Osbourne. He posted his best effort for some time earlier this month at Salisbury when finishing third of ten and should be making his presence felt here, now he’s dropped down to a Class 5 here and off what looks like a lowly mark. Hierarchy – 9/4 (Win) (NB)

5.00 Listowel: Farm & Home Store (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race: My fourth and final pick of the day comes back at Listowel and in the 5.00 which is the bumper that’s contested over two miles. I’m with Supreme Ruler here for Barry Connell and Finian Maguire. He’s been off since a solid enough effort over hurdles at Punchestown back in February, when finishing third of thirteen. I think he could prove to be a bit better than these, and if fit should be giving a good account of himself. Supreme Ruler – 5/2 (Win)
