2.20 Lingfield: Get Raceday Ready Maiden Fillies’ Stakes: My first pick of the day on Thursday comes from Lingfield in a fillies maiden over a mile. I’m with Surveyor here for James Fanshawe and Daniel Muscutt. She progressed from her debut effort to finish second of fourteen when she was last seen at Newbury in September, and she was probably among some useful fillies in that contest. That form should be good enough to see her go close here if she’s fit. Surveyor – 7/4 (Win)

3.25 Warwick: Celebration Of Pete Morgan Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle: My second selection of the afternoon comes from Warwick and the 3.25 which is a handicap hurdle over three miles and two furlongs. It’s hard to get away from Twp Stori here for Samuel Drinkwater and Robert Dunne. He was a comfortable winner last time out at Fontwell and that success also came on heavy going. It’s likely that there is still more to come and if he turns up in the same kind of form he’ll be tough to beat. Twp Stori – 11/8 (Win) (NB)

3.35 Southwell: Get The Inside Track With raceday-ready.com Maiden Hurdle: Next up for me is the 3.35 from Southwell which is a maiden hurdle over two miles. This looks like a good opportunity for Highlands Legacy to open his account for Jonjo O’Neil and Jonjo Jr. He’s been knocking on the door in all of his outings to date and fell last time out when challenging and odds on at Carlisle last month. It would be disappointing should he not go close here. Highlands Legacy – 4/6 (Win) (NAP)

4.55 Wolverhampton: Tips For Every Race At raceday-ready.com Handicap: My fourth and final selection of the afternoon comes from Wolverhampton and this is handicap action on the tapeta over a mile and six furlongs. I like Virtual Hug here for Nikki Evans and Saffie Osbourne. He won comfortably here on Tuesday and he’s got every chance of going in again and capitalising on his mark for connections in what is another low-grade, uninspiring affair. Virtual Hug – 9/4 (Win)
