Midweek Preview. (25/01/2024)

Thursday 25th January 2024

Author: Jordan Yates (EvRacing_)

Welcome aboard to this Thursday Midweek Preview and on this edition, I’ve once again got four selections for you all, this time from Huntingdon and Wetherby. Please gamble responsibly if you are having a punt.

1.50 Wetherby: racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle: I’m kicking things off with the 1.50 at Wetherby which is a handicap hurdle over two miles and three and a half furlongs. I think that this can go to Mister Barclay for Tom Symonds and Jordan Nailor. He was second over course and distance on Boxing Day and has only been nudged up a point for that particular effort, I think he’s got every chance of going well again off this mark. Mister Barclay – 7/2 (Win)

3.00 Wetherby: Follow @racingtv On Instagram EBF “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle: I’m staying at Wetherby for my second punt of the day which comes in the 3.00 which is a novice hurdle contested over two miles. I’m siding with Fortunate Man here for Jonjo O’Neil and Jonjo Jr. He created a big impression when bolting up by over nine lengths at Newbury last month, and if progressing again he could take some beating here. He also gets four pounds off market rival Asta La Pasta. Fortunate Man – EvsF (Win)

3.10 Huntingdon: Pertemps Network Lady Protectress Mares’ Chase: My third selection of the day comes from Huntingdon and the 3.10 which is a listed mares chase over two miles and four furlongs. I’m with the Irish raider Brides Hill here for Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue. She looks a highly progressive mare having won her first two outings this season and her yard has been in fine form when sending runners over here this term. Brides Hill – 11/8F (Win)

3.45 Huntingdon: Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle: The 3.45 at Huntingdon is where my fourth pick of the day will run and this is a Pertemps handicap hurdle over three miles and a furlong. I’m taking a chance on Steal A March here for Nicky Henderson and Harry Cobden. He didn’t give his running last time out at Newbury when returning from a lengthy absence, however, that came on very testing ground and he should be better now back on a sounder surface here. He should also come on from that effort. Steal A March – 7/1 (Each-Way)
