Catterick Lingfield

Wednesday Tips. (05/03/25)

Wednesday 5th March 2025

4.12 Lingfield: It’s Showtime Handicap: My first selection of the day on Wednesday comes within the 4.12 at Lingfield and this is a Class 6 handicap that’s ridden over seven furlongs. I like Runaround Sioux here for Rod Millman and Lewis Edmunds. She’s been knocking on the door as of late when finishing third and second at Southwell and Wolverhampton respectively on her last two outings. She was only beaten a length by an unexposed handicap debutant at Wolverhampton last time out in Arts Of War and she’ll contest this off the same mark, three pounds lower than her last winning one. Runaround Sioux – 13/2 (Each-Way)

4.30 Catterick: catterickbridge.co.uk Handicap Hurdle: Next up for me is the 4.30 at Catterick and this is a Class 5 handicap hurdle that’s contested over two miles and three and a half furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Rehill Relic in this who represents Sam Allwood and Toby Wynne, who takes off three pounds. He’s yet to win in ten starts under rules, however, his runs haven’t been completely without hope. Three starts ago he finished third of thirteen in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster and three and a half lengths behind the winner, he’ll effectively contest this off a four-pound lower mark when you consider the rider’s claim. A race of this nature could be within his grasp off his current mark. Rehill Relic – 7/1 (Each-Way)

4.42 Lingfield: Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Handicap: The third and final selection comes from back at Lingfield and the 4.42 which is a Class 5 handicap over five furlongs. I’m with Ecclesiastical in this particular affair for the team of Tristan Davidson and Jason Hart. He comes into the race having posted his best effort for a while last time out when finishing a head second of ten at Wolverhampton at the end of last month. He remains on the same mark as that run for this particular assignment, which is the same mark as his last winning one. He should be going well again. Ecclesiastical – 11/4 (Win)
