Ffos Las Tuesday's Best Bet

Tuesday’s Best Bets. (04/08/26)

Tuesday 4th August 2026

I’ve come down on a couple of horses on Tuesday, both coming from Ffos Las, and both representing the combination of Rod Milman and Oisin Murphy. The first of which comes within the 2.30, which is a Class 5 handicap over six furlongs. I like the chances of SAFARI DREAM here, who’s currently trading at a best price of 5/2. He won at Salisbury in May off a three-pound lower mark, in what was his seventh career victory, and once again ran with credit at Bath last time out when finishing third and a length and three-quarters behind the winner. He looks solid, and the booking of Murphy is eye-catching. Newsreader should also go well here for Tony Carroll and Rossa Ryan off a very lowly mark, and The Feminine Urge has been knocking on the door as of late for Grace Harris and could feature once again here under five-pound claimer Seamus Cronin.

Selection: Safari Dream – (5/2) (Win) (NB) – (2.30 Ffos Las)

1,2,3: Safari Dream (5/2), Newsreader (4/1), The Feminine Urge (8/1) – (2.30 Ffos Las)

I turn my attention to the 4.00 for my second bet of the afternoon, and this is a Class 6 handicap that’s set to be contested over seven and a half furlongs. As stated previously, it’s another Milman/Murphy runner that I like here, and that’s ROSEMARY’S ROSE, who’s currently trading at the 15/8 mark. She’s a consistent Belardo filly, and whilst she doesn’t win all too often, she’s often there or thereabouts at the business end of things. She’s run well in each of her last three starts, including when second here on her penultimate outing in June. I think she’s got every chance of getting her head in front here for a highly in-form yard, and with the champion jockey on board. Kaleidoscope Eyes should also give a good account of herself here for Bernard Llewellyn and Robert Williams; she was a good third over course and distance three weeks ago, and has to be considered a live player off the same mark. Starman gelding Cosmic Jive is also one to note on handicap debut for Ed Walker and Kieran Shoemark, as improvement is likely.

Selection: Rosemary’s Rose – (15/8) (Win) (NAP) – (4.00 Ffos Las)

1,2,3: Rosemary’s Rose (15/8), Kaleidoscope Eyes (5/2), Cosmic Jive (11/2) – (4.00 Ffos Las)
