1.35 Navan: NavanRacecourse.ie Maiden: My first selection of the afternoon on Tuesday comes in the 1.35 at Navan which is a maiden event over five furlongs. I like Air Force One here for Paddy Twomey and Billy Lee. He contested a couple of useful maidens in the UK and progressed with each start, a race of this nature should be well within his sights and he can go well here for his new yard who are a shrewd operation. 2.05 Navan: Arkle Bar Handicap: I’m staying at Navan or my second selection of the afternoon which comes in the 2.05 which is handicap action also over five furlongs. I’m siding with Artful Approach here for Jack Davison and Ronan Whelan. He made a very encouraging handicap debut last month over course and distance when fourth of twenty-one against older rivals. If he builds on that effort here he could prove tough to beat. Artful Approach – 7/2 (Win)
2.55 Ffos Las: Live Streaming At Yeeehaaa.bet Handicap Hurdle: It’s over to Ffos Las for my third selection of the day and the 2:55 which is a handicap hurdle over two miles and four furlongs. I find it hard to get away from Jasmin De Grugy here for Anthony Honeyball and Richie McLernon. She was second on handicap debut at Wincanton in March, with her and the winner pulling well clear of the field. She still looks to have significant progression yet to come and I think she’ll take the beating here. Jasmin De Grugy – 11/10 (Win) (NAP)
3.05 Navan: Cusack Hotel Group Family Fun Day July 13th Handicap: It’s back over to Navan for my fourth and final selection of the afternoon and the 3.05 which is a handicap over a mile and six furlongs. I like Neptunes Staircase here for Ger Lyons and James Ryan who takes off five pounds. He’s been a close second in his last three starts within maiden company and is better off at the weights here with favourite Bay Of Sanibel from when they previously met when that rival narrowly came out on top. The trip won’t be an issue and I think he can go well. Neptunes Staircase – 4/1 (Win)
