I turn my attention to Yarmouth’s evening meeting on Wednesday for two bets, and the first of these comes in the 6.40, a Class 4 nursery handicap over five furlongs. I’m with DOWMAN here for George Boughey and Billy Loughnane, who’s currently trading at a best price of 15/8. He finished second in both of his first two starts at Bath, and then opened his account at the first time of asking at Windsor in June, which was the last time he was seen. He retains the tongue-tie that was worn last time, and he should have scope for plenty of improvement as he moves into nursery company. He also receives weight off all of his rivals in this particular assignment. Richard Hughes’s Dubai Charm looks like the other big player here under Neil Callan. She’s a filly by Blackbeard who showed improvement to win on nursery debut over course and distance last time out, and should be bang on the premises again despite a second pound rise in the weights.

My second bet comes in the 7.40 at Yarmouth, where we have a Class 6 handicap over a mile and six furlongs. I’m with the Stuart Williams-trained URBAN WARRIOR here, who’s the mount of Marco Ghiani. He’s still a maiden after seven starts; however, he’s posted several respectable efforts as of late since he’s reverted to handicap company. He has, however, been a beaten favourite in his last two starts, when finishing third on each occasion, but there should be a race of this nature in him sooner rather than later. He steps back up in distance here, which is likely to be a plus given how he kept on at this track on his penultimate start, and he should go well off a pound lower mark than last time out. Highland Harvey was a winner of a classified event at this track last time out over an extended mile and three furlongs for Gihan Arnolda. He’s likely to go well again here with Billy Loughnane back in the saddle, if he reverts that form back up to handicap level.
