Tuesday Selections

Tuesday Selections. (10/02/26)

Tuesday 10th February 2026

The first of our four picks on Tuesday comes within the 3.18 at Lingfield, and this is a Class 6 handicap over six furlongs. It could pay to take a chance on the Peter Crate-trained HARRY BROWN here, who’s currently trading at a best price of 15/2 under Tom Queally. He’s not run badly in his last couple of runs; however, he’ll contest this particular affair off the same mark as his most recent success, with that victory also coming over course and distance. Tom Queally also did the steering on that occasion, and he’s a decent price here. The in-form Beauzon is the obvious main danger; he comes into the race having won his last two starts, and is a big player again.

Next up for us is the 3.48 at Lingfield, a Class 4 handicap contested over a mile and two furlongs. EPICTETUS makes some appeal here for the team of Jamie & Saffie Osbourne. He’s not the force of old; however, he went close last time out at Wolverhampton, finishing three-quarters of a length third of nine, proving that there are still races in him at this level. He steps back up in distance here, which appears the correct move, given that he rallied in the closing stages last time out. He also remains on the same mark. Dennis Quinn’s Wyld Bill comes into the contest chasing a hat-trick and has to be considered as a big threat to all under five-pound claimer Jack Dace.

Our third selection of the day comes within the 4.18 at Lingfield, and a Class 6 handicap over a mile and four furlongs. James Owen could hold the key here with KNIGHT OF MAGIC, who’s the mount of Luke Morris. He’s won two of his last four outings, and whilst he was arguably disappointing when fifth here on Saturday over ten furlongs, given he was sent off the 11/10 favourite, the step back up to twelve furlongs should be more within his favour, given that he seemed outpaced last time. Morris has won on him in both of his victories to date, and he could well be bang there again here. The main danger could likely come in the form of Take The Boat, who was victorious over this trip last week at Wolverhampton. He’s a player once again here under the penalty.

We sign off for the afternoon with a selection from Limerick, and the 4.55, which is a National Hunt Flat Race over a mile and seven and a half furlongs. This looks like a good opportunity for GILLANE to open his account under rules for Gavin Cromwell, who’s the mount of seven-pound claimer Eoghan Finegan. The form of his second-placed effort behind Charismatic Kid last time out at Navan looks strong, given that rival has since finished third within Grade 2 company. A repeat of that run could well be enough to take this, and it would be disappointing if he didn’t open his account sooner, rather than later. Hey Now looks the main danger for Andrew McNamara and Derek O’Connor, he could improve significantly following his fourth-placed effort at Navan on debut in December.

3.18 – Harry Brown – 15/2 – (Each-Way) (4 places)
3.48 – Epictetus – 5/1 – (Each-Way) (4 places)
4.18 – Knight Of Magic – 7/2 – (Win) (NB)
4.55 – Gillane – 15/8 – (Win) (NAP)
