Chelmsford Selections

Thursday 16th October 2025

NAP: My Boy Harry – 7/4

Black, red stripe, striped sleeves and cap

7.45 Chelmsford

NB: Fantasy Master – 5/1

Red and white (halved), white sleeves, red stars, white cap, red star

5.10 Chelmsford

Treble: Mesaafi – 5/1

Yellow, black seams, chevrons on sleeves, yellow cap, black star

5.45 Chelmsford

4.00 – Noble Journey – 1/2 (Win)

Should progress significantly following fourth-placed effort at Newbury on debut last time out, and represents an all-conquering stable. Should post a very bold bid, which is reflected in the current price.

Royal blue

4.35: Redditizio – 6/1 (Each-Way)

Looks more exposed than most here; however, she’s better off at the weights here with Mad Unicorn, who only beat her by three-quarters of a length last time out. Has a bundle of placed efforts to her name, and should give her running again here under talented claimer Ashley Lewis.

Purple, white stripe

5.10: Fantasy Master – 5/1 (Each-Way) (NB)

A pound lower than when half of a length fourth of sixteen at Doncaster three starts ago, and drops back into Class 4 company here, having run well in Class 2 company at Ascot last time out. Course and distance winner, who looks solid at this level.

Red and white (halved), white sleeves, red stars, white cap, red star

5.45: Mesaafi – 5/1 (Each-Way) (Treble)

Won well over course and distance earlier in the summer, and has been dropped a pound following a solid effort when fourth of twelve over track and trip last time out, with that run coming within Class 2 company. Should give a good account once again here.

Yellow, black seams, chevrons on sleeves, yellow cap, black star

6.15: Giant – 9/2 (Each-Way)

Goes well around here, and that includes last time out when second behind an in-form rival. Contests this off the same mark, and there’s nothing to suggest that he can’t be bang there again.

White and orange (quartered), white sleeves, orange armlets, orange cap

6.45: My Mate Beattie – 15/2 (Each-Way)

Long-standing maiden, however, has plenty of places to her name, including last time out at Newcastle over today’s distance when finishing a length second of eight. Contest this off just a pound higher, and has every chance under Silvestre De Sousa.

7.15: Arctic Grey – 6/1 (Each-Way)

Back down to his last winning mark, and drops back into Class 4 company, which is the same level where that previous win came. He also has a further three pounds coming off his back via Alec Voikhansky’s claim, and looks to have several things in his favour here, despite the drop back down to seven furlongs.

7.45: My Boy Harry – 7/4 (Win) (NAP)

Comes into the race in form, having won at Kempton last time out, and looks a lot more solid than most of his rivals here. Should put in a bold bid to follow up under five-pound claimer Ashley Lewis, who helps with the penalty.

Black, red stripe, striped sleeves and cap

8.15: Masqool – 4/1 (Each-Way)

Won over course and distance on his penultimate start in August, with that success coming under today’s rider Shay Farmer. Ran well off this mark last time out at Wolverhampton when third of twelve, and looks a very solid play.

Black, red stars, black sleeves
