Treble: Warrior King – 3/1

7.40 Kempton
4.40 – Danger Alert – 15/2 (Each-Way)
Twenty pounds below last winning mark, albeit that success was a long time ago now. However, he often gives his running without managing to get his head in front. He does look weighted to go well here, though, and can make his presence felt.

5.10: Go Rimbaud – 9/4 (Win) (NB)
Posted an encouraging effort on racecourse debut at Leicester last month, finishing fourth over seven furlongs and keeping on in the closing stages. Should appreciate this step up to a mile and should naturally progress coming into his second start here. Represents top connections.

5.40: Alarming – 2/1 (Win) (NAP)
Followed up a second-placed effort on debut at Salisbury, to finish fourth of fourteen in Class 2 company at Goodwood last time out. That piece of form sets the standard here, and she should be going very close here.

6.10: Military Cross – 8/15 (Win)
Runner-up on both starts to date, both efforts when behind a couple of useful-looking types who also sported the Godolphin silks. Should be very tough to beat here, and it would be disappointing should he not open his account for powerhouse connections.

6.40: Cooramook – 5/1 (Each-Way)
She’s been knocking on the door in her last two outings, finishing a close-up second in each of them, and Jack Dace’s five-pound claim removes her four-pound rise in the weights following her last run. Should be bang there once again in a low-grade affair here.

7.10: Strike – 6/1 (Each-Way)
Was beaten only by a neck on his penultimate start off just a pound higher mark than his current one, and didn’t enjoy a clear passage last time out when sixth. Yet to win over today’s distance, however, has gone close previously, and looks weighted to be competitive at a minimum.

7.40: Warrior King – 3/1 (Win) (Treble)
Posted his best effort to date last time out over course and distance, finishing just three-quarters of a length second of nine. That was his first try over two miles, and there’s nothing to suggest that he can’t go very close again here off just a pound higher mark.

8.10: Buxted Too – 8/1 (Each-Way)
Not been seen to best effect as of late, however, he’s now seven pounds below his last winning mark, with that success coming over course and distance. Drops into Class 6 company here, having plied his trade at a higher level recently, and could well bounce back to form.
