2.40 Beverley: Tyre Scope Handicap: The first of my four selections on Wednesday comes within the 2.40 at Beverley and this is a Class 5 handicap over seven and a half furlongs. I’m with Park Street here, who represents Tina Jackson and is the mount of Tom Eaves. He ran his best race for a while on his most recent start, which came at Beverley earlier this month, finishing fourth of twelve and two lengths behind the winner despite being denied a clear run on numerous occasions. He remains on the same mark here as that day, three pounds below his last winning one, and if he turns up in the same form, he can go close with a clearer run. The yard is also in good form, having two winners from their last four runners at the time of writing. Park Street – 9/2 (Each-Way)
3.40 Beverley: Dr Eddie Moll Handicap: Next up for me will be the 3.40 at Beverley, and this is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over a mile and two furlongs. I’ve come down on Whatacracker here for Mark Walford who’s the mount of Rhys Elliott, who takes off five pounds. He ran well here in April when finishing a length and a half behind Nibras Gold, and that run came off a two-pound higher mark. He has an extra five coming off his back here via his rider, and on that basis, he looks well-treated given his last winning mark came off 65. It would be disappointing should he not go close. Whatacracker – 8/1 (Each-Way)
4.40 Beverley: Hurn Handicap: My third selection of the afternoon comes within the 4.40 at Beverley and this is Class 6 handicap action over a mile and four furlongs. I’m fairly strong on the chances of Sawgrass here for Hughie Morrison, who has the services of Rossa Ryan on board. She showed much improved form last time out at Brighton when upped to twelve furlongs, finishing half of a length second of seven after running on in the closing stages. She’ll contest this particular affair off just a pound higher mark than the Brighton effort, and can continue his progression over the same distance here. Sawgrass – 3/1 (Win) (NAP)
5.03 Hamilton: Precision Windows Handicap: My concluding selection of the day comes from Hamilton and in the 5.03, which is a Class 5 handicap that’s ridden over a mile and four furlongs. I like Trojan Soldier here for Jedd O’Keeffe and Callum Rodriguez, he didn’t show much within maiden and novice company over shorter distances, however, posted his best effort to date last time out at Beverley when stepped up to ten furlongs, finishing second of six and a length and a quarter behind the winner, staying on in the closing stages. Further improvement is likely now up a further two furlongs, and I think he should go close here. Trojan Soldier – 9/2 (Each-Way) (NB)
