Beverley Chepstow Worcester

Tuesday Blog & Tips. (13/05/25)

2.00 Worcester: FBC Manby Bowdler Handicap Chase: Kicking things off for my Tuesday selections will be the 2.00 at Worcester, and this is a Class 4 handicap chase that’s contested over a distance of two miles and four furlongs. I like God’s Own Getaway here for the team of Dan & Harry Skelton. He posted his best effort for a while last time out at Warwick when third behind Abingworth, who he reopposes here, and I think he could well reverse the form here with that rival here. He’s been dropped a further pound following the Warwick run, and will contest this off four pounds lower than his last winning mark. He’s definitely a player. God’s Own Getaway – 4/1 (Each-Way)

3.12 Beverley: Annie Oxtoby Memorial Handicap: It’s over to Beverley on the level for my second selection and the 3.12, which is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over five furlongs. I’m taking a chance on one at a big price here, and that’s Midnight Lir, who’s currently trading at a best price of 11/1 for Michael Dods and Conor Beasley. He didn’t run as badly as his finishing position suggested last time out at Pontefract when eighth of ten, as he was only three and three-quarters of a length behind the winner. That was also his first run following a break; he’s well-treated, and is a previous course and distance winner. Midnight Lir – 11/1 (Each-Way)

3.20 Chepstow: Tea & Biscuits Woohoo At Lucas Bookies Handicap: Next up for me will be the 3.20 at Chepstow, and this is a Class 6 handicap which is ridden over a mile. I like Outrace here, who represents Richard Hannon and is the mount of Tyrese Cameron, taking off seven pounds. She posted her best effort for a while last time out at Bath, finishing third of ten and keeping on well in the closing stages, and remains on the same mark here. She can go from the front and could prove tough to peg back here on a fast surface and a dangerous mark. Outrace – 7/2 (Win)

4.20 Chepstow: David Lucas Top Price On Welsh Sport Handicap: I’m staying at Chepstow for my penultimate selection of the day and the 4.20, which is a Class 5 handicap over six furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of Bear Rock here, who’s currently trading at a best price of 7/2 for Michael Mullineaux and Hollie Doyle. She’s a progressive type who built on an encouraging handicap debut when finishing fourth of seventeen at Doncaster to win at Haydock last month, beating the same number of rivals on that occasion. She’s up three pounds here, which could prove lenient. Bear Rock – 7/2 (Win) (NB)

4.30 Worcester: Step Into Luxury With Purple Granite Handicap Hurdle: My fifth and final selection comes back at Worcester and in the 4.30, which is a Class 4 handicap hurdle that’s ridden over two miles and seven furlongs. I’m also strong on one here, and that’s Sirekoff for David Pipe and Jack Tudor. He’d not shown much form within handicap company, however, ran much better last time out at Bangor when finishing second of eleven, and was well-supported in the betting on that occasion. He’s been nudged up a couple of pounds for that run, but if he turns up on a going day again, he could go one better here. Sirekoff – 3/1 (Win) (NAP)
