.08 Nottingham: Pricedup.Bet The Home Of Value Handicap: My first selection of the afternoon comes from Nottingham and the 2.08, which is a Class 6 handicap that’s contested over six furlongs. I think that this can go to Zaman Daar for Ismail Mohammed and Paddy Bradley. He can rebuild on an encouraging reappearance run at Brighton earlier this month when finishing fourth of twelve and just a length and a half behind the winner, despite not having a clear run. He’ll appreciate the quick conditions and has also won over the distance previously. Zaman Daar – 5/1 (Each-Way)
.18 Nottingham: Pricedup.Bet Bloggers Boosted Double Handicap: I’m staying at Nottingham for my second selection and this comes within the 3.18 which is a Class 4 handicap over a mile and six furlongs. I’m fairly strong on the chances of Expressionless here for Dylan Cunha and Ray Dawson. He’s another one who ran very well on his seasonal return, in his case, it came at Newbury when finishing third of ten over ten furlongs, doing his best work late. This step back up in trip should suit, and he could have a big say in this. Expressionless – 15/8 (Win) (NB)
.40 Punchestown: Killashee Hotel Handicap Hurdle: My first selection of the Punchestown Festival this year comes in the 3.40, which is a Listed Handicap Hurdle over two miles and half of a furlong. I think that this can go to Lark In The Mornin for Joseph O’Brien and Danny Mullins. He needs to put a disappointing run at Cheltenham in March behind him, however, he’s been dropped a further couple of pounds for that and will arrive here fresh. The Spring festivals have clearly been the plan for him this season, and I suspect we’ll see a much better showing from him on this occasion. Lark In The Mornin – 9/2 (Each-Way)
.38 Nottingham: Download The Pricedup App Handicap: It’s back over to Nottingham for my penultimate selection of the day, and the 5.38, which is a Class 5 handicap over a mile and two furlongs. I think that this particular contest can go to Beach Point for William Knight and Oisin Murphy. He’s finished second on each of his last three starts, including on his seasonal reappearance at Yarmouth earlier this month when being narrowly denied by a neck. He should build on that run here and has every chance of going one better under the champion jockey. Beach Point – 11/4 (Win)
.00 Punchestown: William Hill Champion Chase: My fifth and final selection of the day comes from Punchestown and the 6.00, which is Grade 1 action in the Champion Chase over two miles and half of a furlong. I find it hard to see past Fact To File here for Willie Mullins and Mark Walsh. He drops back in trip here, however, I don’t think that will be an issue given how powerfully he travelled when impressive in the Ryanair in Cheltenham, and I think he could arguably be shorter in the betting. I think he’ll take all the beating here as he’s still improving for his powerhouse connections. Fact To File – 10/11 (Win) (NAP)
