2.35 Nottingham: Join Racing TV Now Handicap: Kicking things off for me on Wednesday will be the 2.35 at Nottingham and this is a Class 4 handicap that’s contested over five furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of Looking For Lynda here for Karl Burke and Jack Nicholls who takes off seven pounds. He made a satisfactory return to the track last week at Musselburgh when finishing fifth of eight and three and three-quarters of a length behind the winner. That run should’ve blown the cobwebs away and he’ll effectively contest this off a seven-pound lower mark with his rider’s claim. It would be disappointing if he were not much closer at the business end of things here. Looking For Lynda – 9/4 (Win)

2.43 Catterick: Raceday Ready Handicap: Next up for me will be the 2.43 at Catterick and this is a Class 5 handicap that’s also contested over a distance of five furlongs. I like The Feminine Urge here for George Scott and David Egan. She made her seasonal reappearance at Kempton last month when finishing midfield and is another who should improve for that first outing of the campaign. She’ll contest this particular affair off a three-pound lower mark than that Kempton outing which is two pounds lower than her last winning mark, with that success coming at this track over six furlongs. If getting some luck in the run she’s got every chance of going close at a big price. The Feminine Urge – 20/1 (Each-Way) (4 places – Several Firms)

5.25 Leopardstown: O’Driscoll’s Irish Whiskey Handicap: My third and final selection comes from Ireland and in the 5.25 at Leopardstown which is a 0-60 handicap that’s contested over a mile and a furlong. I’m with Slieve Bearnagh here for David Marnane and Luke McAteer. He ran over hurdles the last twice last autumn and makes his return to the flat here on his stable debut off a mark that is a pound lower than his last winning one. He’s also won off considerably higher marks in the past and he’s also gone well fresh previously. I think that a big run would be no surprise. Slieve Bearnagh – 3/1 (Win)
