2.01 Bath: Dragon Symbol Standing At Whitsbury Manor Apprentice Handicap: My first selection on Sunday comes within the 2.01 at Bath and this is a Class 6 Apprentice Handicap over a mile and three and a half furlongs. I like Fiddlers Green here for John O’Shea and Jack Dace, who takes off seven pounds. He won this race off the same mark last year and posted a much more encouraging effort last time out when fifth of fourteen at Kempton and two and a quarter of a length behind the winner. He’s effectively seven pounds lower than that run here with the rider’s claim, and he looks solid. Fiddlers Green – 5/1 (Each-Way)
2.42 Southwell: Grace And Dotty Fedora’s And Feathers Handicap: Next up for me is the 2.42 at Southwell, and I like Sunset In Paris here for John Jenkins and Rossa Ryan. He’s run well on his last two outings, with his most recent effort coming at Lingfield last month when finishing half a length third of ten to L’Immortale, whom he reopposes here on better terms. He stayed on that day, giving the impression that this extra furlong should suit, and he remains on the same mark, which is two pounds below his last one.
