Bath Newcastle Stratford

Thursday Tips. (31/10/2024)

Thursday 31st October

Saturday Preview (1)

1.05 Stratford: racingtv.com/freetrial Mares’ Maiden Hurdle: It’ll be the 1.05 at Stratford that will be the starting point for me on Thursday and this is a Class 4 maiden hurdle for mares over a mile and six furlongs. I’m with Wednesday Addams here for Ben Case and Jack Quinlan. She showed a decent level of form in bumpers and was a very solid second of ten on her hurdling debut back in May, clear of the third. It would be disappointing should she not build on that here and her yard are in good form. Wednesday Addams – 5/2 (Win) (NB)

1.58 Bath: Best Odds Guaranteed dragonbet.co.uk Handicap: Next up for me is the 1.58 at Bath which is a Class 5 handicap over five and a half furlongs. I like Cypriot Diaspora here for Rod Millman and Charlie Bishop. She bounced back to form earlier this month when finishing a head second of eight at Nottingham, with that run also come on soft ground. She’s been left alone by the handicapper and if following up that run she should be bang there. Cypirot Diaspora – 10/3 (Win)

3.05 Stratford: Jump Season Free Trial On Racing TV Handicap Hurdle: It’s back to Stratford for my third selection and the 3.05 which is a handicap hurdle over two miles and two and a half furlongs. I’m with Penna Rossa in this for the team of Kieran Burke and Tom Bellamy. He was narrowly denied on his stable debut last time out when heavily backed, going down just a neck at Exeter. He’s been raised six pounds for that effort but should he turn up in the same form that rise in the weights may not prevent another big showing. Penna Rossa – 9/4 (Win)

3.15 Newcastle: Dunes Eat Drink Bowl Play Handicap Hurdle: My fourth and final selection comes from Newcastle and the 3.15 which is a Class 5 handicap hurdle over two miles and a furlong. I’m strong on the chances of Cawthorne Cracker here for the team of Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero, who’s the mount of Toby Wynne who will take off three pounds. He was heading for a wide-margin success last time out at Sedgefield when falling at the last, and I think he can make amends for that here. He’s up nine pounds but given there looks to be more to come from him just yet. Cawthorne Cracker – 5/2 (Win) (NAP)
