3.22 Newcastle: Weekly Free Bets With BetMGM Extra Handicap: We return to action after a couple of days off and our first selection on Tuesday comes within the 3.22 at Newcastle which is a Class 3 handicap that’s contested over seven furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Lir Speciale here for Brian Ellison and Cam Hardie. He posted a very encouraging effort on his first run for this yard at Southwell last month when he finished fourth of twelve and was a length and a quarter behind the winner. He’s been dropped a further pound for that effort and he’ll contest this off a mark that is fourteen pounds lower than his last winning one. Lir Speciale – 12/1 (Each-Way)
3.52 Newcastle: Free Bets With BetUK Bet Club Handicap: My second selection of the afternoon also comes from Newcastle and in the 3.52 and this is Class 4 handicap action over five furlongs. I’m with Glory Fighter here who represents the team of Paul Midgley and Mark Winn. He’s a nine-year-old now but he proved last time out over course and distance that he still retains ability when finishing half of a length second of ten. That was his first run back following a break and he remains on the same mark here which is the same as his last winning one. If he takes a step forward from that run, he could be bang there again at a nice price. Glory Fighter – 14/1 (Each-Way)
4.05 Market Rasen: Bet At racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle: My third and final selection comes from Market Rasen and in the 4.05 which is a Class 4 handicap hurdle that’s contested over a distance of two miles and four and a half furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of The Blueberry One here for Harry Derham and Paul O’Brien. He ran a fine race following a long break to finish second of eleven at Ffos Las back in January when staying on well to finish a couple of lengths behind the winner. That was also his handicap debut, suggesting that there is further improvement to come from him for a yard that is currently in great form. The Blueberry One – 4/1 (Each-Way)
