6.00 Dundalk: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden: The first of my three selections on Friday comes within the 6.00 at Dundalk and this is maiden action over a mile. I’m with Athlumney Warrior here for Michael O’Callaghan and Colin Keane. He ran a fine race on his rules debut over course and distance back in January when finishing second of fourteen and he should naturally progress from that effort here. It would be disappointing should he not be on the premises at the business end of things at the very least. Athlumney Warrior – 5/2 (Win)
6.15 Southwell: Best Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap: Next up for me is the 6.15 at Southwell and this is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over seven furlongs. I like Chola Empire here for David Simcock and Daniel Muscutt. He posted his best effort for a while last time out at Kempton when finishing fourth and he’s been dropped a further pound for his troubles. He’s now four pounds lower than his last winning mark and his time to return to the winner’s enclosure could be forthcoming. Chola Empire – 15/8 (Win)
6.45 Southwell: Best Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap: My third and final selection of the day comes within the 6.45 at Southwell and this is a Class 5 handicap over seven furlongs. I like Golden Pharaoh here for Scott Dixon and Dale Swift. He ran an encouraging race last time out over course and distance when finishing fifth and he continues to gradually fall down the weights. He tries Class 5 company for the first time here and I think that this ex-French winner should have enough in the locker to go well at this level. Golden Pharaoh – 5/1 (Each-Way)
