3.27 Nottingham: Don’t Miss Fiver Friday Raceday 19th July Handicap: My first selection of the afternoon on Wednesday comes in the 3.27 at Nottingham which is a Class 4 handicap over six furlongs. I like Fantasy Master here for Darryll Holland and Ray Dawson. He’s a course and distance who ran well in an extremely competitive handicap at Ascot last time out when finishing sixth of twenty-six. He’s a pound lower today and remains well handicapped, he should have every chance in this. Fantasy Master – 4/1 (Win)

4.10 Newton Abbot: Don’t Miss The Newton Abbot Country Show Handicap Hurdle: It’s over to Newton Abbot for my second selection of the afternoon which is handicap hurdle action over two miles and a furlong. This can go to Swift Hawk for Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden. He bolted up on his most recent at Hereford last month by the best part of eight lengths and still looks progressive as he’s only four. A five-pound rise may prove to be lenient. Swift Hawk – 11/8 (Win) (NB)

4.57 Nottingham: Host Your Conference At Nottingham Racecourse Handicap: My third selection of the day comes back at Nottingham and the 4.57 which is a Class 5 handicap over a mile and two furlongs. I’m with Snapcracklepop here for William Muir & Chris Grassick and is the mouth of Billy Loughlane. He progressed from his seasonal reappearance to finish second of thirteen at Bath last month and remains well-handicapped off just a pound higher mark. If turning up in the same kind of form as his Ascot run he can have a big say. Snapcracklepop – 3/1 (Win)

5.20 Curragh: Holden Plant Rentals Irish EBF Race: Concluding my picks for the day will be the 5.20 form the Curragh which is a maiden over six furlongs. This looks like a good opportunity for Tunbridge Wells for the team of Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore. He was three lengths second of eight on his racecourse debut at Navan last month and should come on a great deal for that run here. He’s a No Nay Never colt and it would be disappointing should he not get his head in front in this. Tunbridge Wells – 8/11 (Win) (NAP)
