Feature Meeting: Lingfield

2.15: Enjoy The Racing App For Free Handicap Chase: My first selection of the afternoon at Lingfield comes in the 2.15 which is a handicap chase over two miles. I think that this is all about Classic Maestro for the team of Jennie Candlish and Luke Scott who takes off five pounds. He’s a horse who really found his feet over hurdles in his last two outings, winning on both occasions in comfortable style. He could well have more to come over fences and will start off on a competitive-looking mark here. Classic Maestro – 11/8 (Win) (NAP)

3.15: Try The Racing App This Afternoon Mares’ Handicap Chase: Next up for me is the 3.15 which is a mares handicap chase over two miles and four furlongs. I’m with Annie Magic here for Jeremy Scott and Lorcan Williams. She took a step back in the right direction last time out at Warwick when finishing third of ten, albeit a distant third. The drop down in trip looks the right call here and she should make her presence felt in a race of this nature. Annie Magic – 13/8 (Win)

4.15: Download The Racing App Now Handicap Chase: The 4.15 is where my third pick of the day comes from and this is a handicap chase over two miles and seven and a half furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Galway Mahler here for Karen Jewell and Tom Cannon. He won impressively by six lengths at Huntingdon on his most recent outing, and if handling the heavy ground here I think he can go close again here should he progress from that run, in what is far from the strongest of handicaps. Galway Mahler – 10/3 (Win)

4.45: At The Races App Market Movers Handicap Hurdle: Signing me off for the day will be the 4.45 which is a handicap hurdle over two miles. I’m siding with Wise Guy here for the team of Stuart Edmunds and Charlie Hammond. He should progress from his first start in handicap company last time out, when finishing third of fourteen at Huntingdon, and is dropped down to a distance here which he has won off when in the pointing sphere. If handling the ground he can play a serious role. Wise Guy – 11/2 (Each-Way)
