Welcome aboard to this Sunday Preview where I’ll be turning my attention to Carlisle and Navan as I have three selections throughout the afternoon. As ever, make sure to gamble responsibly if you are punting.

2.10 Carlisle: Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle: My first selection of the afternoon comes in the 2.15 which is a handicap hurdle over three miles and a furlong. I like Howlingmadmurdock here who’s currently a 5/2 chance for Tom Lacey and Cameron Iles who takes off seven pounds. He posted a satisfactory effort at Haydock last time in Grade 3 company, and in calmer waters here with the rider taking off a very handy amount of weight, I think he can go well. Howlingmadmurdock – 5/2 (Win)

2.45 Carlisle: Bet In Play On Rhino.Bet Handicap Chase: Next up it’s the 2.45 which is a handicap chase that’s contested over three miles and two furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Motion In Limine for Dr Richard Newland and Luke Scott who takes off five pounds. He’s been knocking at the door for some time now, and with his rider taking off five pounds at the weights he looks handsomely handicapped to go well in what doesn’t look like a massively strong race. Motion In Limine – 9/2 (Win)

3.30 Navan: BetVictor Future Champions INH Flat Race: My third and final pick of the day comes from Navan and their concluding race of the afternoon which is a bumper over two miles. I think that this is all about the returning Redemption Day for Willie Mullins and Patrick Mullins, he was an exciting prospect when last seen back in 2022, finishing just over a length second behind Facile Vega in the Grade 1 at Punchestown. I think he should have enough ability to make a winning return. Redemption Day – 11/10 (Win)
