Welcome aboard to another Midweek Preview where this time the focus is on Warwick where I have five more selections to share with you all. As ever, please make sure to gamble responsibly.

12.55: Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle: First up for me is the 12:55 which is a Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle over two miles and three furlongs. I’ve taken a chance on Bon Retour here for Mark Walford and Tom Midgley. He showed signs of life last time out at Carlisle after a series of poor efforts, finishing third of nine that day. He’s now back down to a mark below his last winning one and if building on his latest run he could go close. Bon Retour – 7/2 (Win)

1.30: Denis Oconnell Memorial ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle: My second selection of the afternoon comes in the 1:30 which is a novice hurdle over two miles. I think that this is all about Act Of Authority who currently heads the betting for Olly Murphy. He hacked up by fourteen lengths on his hurdling debut at Bangor last month, before finding Grade 2 company at Cheltenham too hot. Now he’s back within this kind of company he should be tough to beat. Act Of Authority – 4/5 (Win)

2.05: Olly Murphy Racing Novices’ Hurdle: It’s more novice action at 2:05 this time over the further distance of two miles and five furlongs. I’m siding with Cherie D’Am here for the Skelton team he’s currently trading at a best price of 15/8, and is the current second favourite. She looks like an exciting prospect from the pointing sphere, bolting up in her bumper and her rules debut at Wetherby earlier this month. This represents her stiffest task to date, but she looks potentially exciting for a yard who do very well around here. Cherie D’Am – 15/8 (Win)

2.40: Duncan Smith Over The Hill Birthday Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Chase: My fourth selection of the afternoon comes in the 2:40 which is a mares novices handicap chase over two miles and four furlongs. I’ve gone for Moviddy here for Noel Williams who’s currently a 5/1 chance in the betting. She’s a winner over hurdles and posted a very solid effort on chasing debut last time out, where she finished second of five of Wincanton. If building on that run here she could have a serious say. Moviddy – 5/1 (Win)

3.15: John Sumner Memorial Veterans’ Handicap Chase: It’s veteran’s action where I have my final pick, and in this particular contest I like the chances of Thomas Darby who’s another runner for Olly Murphy. He was still contesting top-level races last term and won a competitive handicap at Ayr back in February. When last seen he ran a pretty average race when finishing over ten lengths behind Good Boy Bobby at Chepstow, but it’s likely that he’ll be a lot fitter for that outing and should come on for it. This mark looks fair, and he’s got enough class to go well. Thomas Darby – 5/1 (Win)
