Kempton Wednesday's Bets

Wednesday’s Bets. (04/11/26) (Kempton)

Wednesday 4th November 2026

2.25 Kempton – (Class 5 Handicap) (7f)

A competitive apprentice handicap which could go the way of MYTHICAL COMPOSER for Clive Cox, who’s the mount of three-pound claimer Shay Farmer. He was only two lengths behind Regional Rock at Salisbury last time out off today’s mark, and is three pounds below his last winning one, with that success coming over course and distance. With a further three coming off via Farmer’s claim, he has to be of serious interest.

Selection: Mythical Composer – (4/1) (Win) (NAP)

3.00 Kempton – (Class 6 Handicap) (1m)

The unexposed PALLISER makes plenty of appeal in this low-grade affair for Archie Watson and Hollie Doyle. He’s shown significant improvement since going handicapping, finishing a close second in each of his last two outings at Wolverhampton. He’s just a couple of pounds higher here, and there’s surely more to come from the Kingman gelding. The in-form Snooker McCrew is another bigger player, as he’s chasing a hat-trick.

Selection: Palliser – (5/2) (Win) (NB)

3.30 Kempton – (Class 3 Handicap) (1m)

Those with experience will likely improve, and the market should guide the newcomers. John & Thady Gosden could have the answer with RED CURRY, who’s the mount of James Doyle. There was plenty of encouragement to be had from her debut effort over course and distance last time out. She was slowly away on that occasion, however, stuck to her task well to finish just a length and three-quarters behind eventual winner Bintwillsea. With natural improvement likely here, she could go close. Cloak Of Power should have much more to offer and will likely prove a big danger.

Selection: Red Curry – (13/2) (Each-Way)

4.00 Kempton – (Class 3 Fillies’ Novice) (1m)

Charlie Appleby is no stranger to success at this track with youngers, and LIGHT OF THE STARS makes plenty of appeal under William Buick. She’s by Too Darn Hot, and is well-related, as to be expected, hailing from this yard. She could well be good enough to win on debut here, in what doesn’t look the strongest of novice events. Fellow newcomer El Ghanema could prove the main danger, as she’s also well-related and could be useful.

Selection: Light Of The Stars – (6/5) (Win)
