1.15 Haydock: KABRAL DU MATHAN was ultra-consistent last season within competitive handicap company, signing off with a close second in Grade 2 company at Ayr. He looks solid here on his stable debut for the Skeltons. (Win)

1.30 Ascot: IL EST FRANCAIS is a very classy type, and last year’s King George runner-up can post a bold bid under these terms for Tom George and James Reveley, as he’s the highest-rated horse in the field and gets weight off all of his rivals. (Win)

James Reveley silk

1.50 Haydock: THE JUKEBOX MAN was progressing into an exciting type last term, winning the Grade 1 Kauto Star novice’s chase at Kempton when last seen. He probably won’t need to be at his best to win this, and should be going very close. (Win)

Ben Jones silk

2.10 Punchestown: LOSSIEMOUTH should be very tough to beat here, and is by far the best horse in this race. She should kick off another exciting campaign with a win. (Win)

2.25 Haydock: ELECTRIC MASON posted a very solid effort on seasonal reappearance when second behind Ma Shantou in a competitive Cheltenham handicap. He’s got every chance here on that form under Freddie Gordon, and he should be a nice price. (Each-Way)

2.40 Ascot: WODHOOH is a very talented Mare, and was a decisive winner of the Martin Pipe at last season’s Cheltenham Festival. She signed off her campaign at Aintree when second to Lossiemouth in Grade 1 company, and that level of form would be good enough to win this. (NAP) (Win)

3.00 Haydock: GREY DAWNING was second in this last year, and signed off his campaign when second to Gaelic Warrior at Aintree. He sets the standard for the Skelton’s, and should post a bold bid to go a place better in this year’s renewal. (NB)(Win)

3.15 Ascot: JPR ONE is down in grade here, and should strip fitter following his run in the Haldon Gold Cup on his seasonal reappearance last month. He should be a big player at this level for the in-form Tizzard yard. (Each-Way)

Brendan Powell silk

3.35 Haydock: MAJOR FORTUNE can build on an encouraging run at Cheltenham last month, where he finished fourth of fourteen. He’s been dropped a further pound for that effort by the handicapper, and he’s versatile ground-wise. (Each-Way)
