9.45 Del Mar: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint
TRUE LOVE – 7/2 (Win) (NB)
Very smart filly who bounced back to form last time out when winning the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket, with that run coming over six furlongs. She’s also won over today’s distance of five, when winning the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot back in June, and she’s the class act in the lineup here. She should prove very tough to beat for Aidan O’Brien.
10.25 Del Mar: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies
PERCY’S BAR – 11/2 (Each-Way)
Finished ahead of Tommy Jo last time out; however, lost the race in the stewards’ room, and those two will face off again here. She’s still progressing at a significant rate, judging by that effort, given it was in Grade 1 company, and looks a solid each-way play here at the prices.
11.05 Del Mar: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf
PRECISE – 5/4 (Win) (NAP)
Another very smart filly representing the all-conquering Ballydoyle team, and comes into the race having won back-to-back Group 1s at the Curragh and Newmarket. She sets a very high standard on the back of those runs, in particular, her Fillies Mile success last time out, which was an impressive three and a quarter length victory. The one to beat, and should go very close.
11.45 Del Mar: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile
BRANT – 11/4 (Win)
Two from two to date, with both victories coming at this track, and the most recent success coming within Grade 1 company in the Del Mar Futurity Stakes. Represents the top yard of Bob Baffert, and can take another big step forward here.
12.25 Del Mar: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf
GSTAAD – 5/4 (Win) (Treble)
Another huge chance for Aidan O’Brien, this two-year-old Starspangledbanner colt was an impressive three-length winner in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot back in June, and has since finished a close-up second on the last three occasions, each of which came within Group 1 company. The step up to a mile here looks sure to unluck further improvement, and a bold bid is likely.
