Wednesday 10th September
wednesday SELECTIONS
5.10 Cork: JON RIGGENS – 9/2 (Each-Way) & IMPERIAL DREAM – 16/1 (Each-Way) (6 places – bet 365 & Sky Bet)
I’ve got two selections in the 5.10 at Cork on Wednesday, which is handicap action over six furlongs. The first of which is Jon Riggens for Eddie Lynam and Ben Coen. He’s been running back into form in his last two starts, finishing fifth at Naas, then third at the Curragh most recently. The handicapper has given him a chance, dropping him a further four pounds, and he should have a big say here off six pounds lower than his last winning mark.
I also like one at a bigger price and that’s Imperial Dream for Patrick Flynn and Robyn Donaghue-Leahy, who takes off seven pounds. He’s not been seen to best effect this term; however, he has started to look well-handicapped, and will effectively contest this particular affair off an eleven-pound lower mark than his last success last term, as well as being eleven pounds lower than when finishing second over course and distance twelve months ago.

7.10 Cork: LOINGSEOIR – 11/1 (Each-Way) (6 places – Sky Bet)
My third selection of the evening at Cork comes within the 7.10, and this is more handicap action and this time over a mile. I’m taking a chance on Loingseoir here for Michael Grassick and Jimmy Dalton, who takes off ten pounds. He’s been running with credit among handicap company this season without getting his head in front, and he’ll effectively contest this race off a thirteen-pound lower mark than his last winning one, with his rider’s ten-pound claim. That should give him every chance, and he’s currently trading at what looks like a tempting price; he’s also a course winner.
