Tuesday’s Best Bets

2.15: Lingfield

The first of my selections on Tuesday comes within the 2.15 at Lingfield, and this is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over a mile and a furlong. I’ve come down on Uppercase here, who represents Harry Eustance and is the mount of Kaiya Fraser. He’s maiden after four starts, however, has shown that there’s ability in the locker, in particular, on his handicap debut last time out at Pontefract over a mile, where he finished a length second of nine. He’s up an extra furlong here, which could unlock further improvement, and I think he can go close off the same mark.

UPPERCASE – 5/1 (Each-Way)

2.30: Musselburgh

My next best bet of the day comes from Musselburgh, and the 2.30, which is a Class 6 nursery handicap that’s ridden over five furlongs. I’m fairly strong on the chances of Gillali Lass here for the team of David O’Meara and Mark Winn. She’s yet to win after five starts, however, has shown significant improvement in her last two outings, which both came at Catterick, finishing second and being narrowly denied in each of them, going down by just a head and half of a length. She should be making her presence felt once more here, now she’s dropped back down to five furlongs.

GILLALI LASS – 2/1 (Win) (NB)

3.30: Musselburgh

My NAP of the day also comes from Musselburgh, and within the 3.30, which is Class 6 handicap action over a mile and four and a half furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of Made All here for Sam England and Cian Horgan, who takes off a handy five pounds. He’s been in great form this season and comes into the race on the back of a comfortable success at Catterick earlier this month, when winning by two and a half lengths and going away at the end. He’s got a penalty here; however, his rider’s claim should help, and judging by how he won last time, he looks as though he’s still got more to give.

MADE ALL – 10/11 (Win) (NAP)

4.15: Lingfield

My fourth and final selection of the afternoon comes from Lingfield, and the 4.15, which is a Class 6 classified event over seven furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Fai Fai here for Daniel Steele, who’s the mount of Ashley Lewis, who takes off seven pounds. He showed significant improvement when dropped into a similar event over course and distance last month, finishing a head second of nine. He’ll effectively contest this with seven pounds less on his back, with his rider’s claim coming into play on this occasion, and if he turns up in the same form, that has to make him a significant player.

FAI FAI – 15/2 (Each-Way)
