Tuesday Tips. (25/02/25)

Tuesday 25th February 2025

5.30 Wolverhampton: Gamble Responsibly At BetUK Handicap: My first selection of the evening on Tuesday at Wolverhampton will come within the 5.30 and this is a Class 6 handicap over a mile and a furlong and a half. I’m siding with City Escape here for the team of Mark & Billy Loughnane. She’s knocked at the door the last twice since returning to the track following a break, finishing third on both occasions and not too far behind the winner. She remains on a mark several pounds below her last winning one, and I think she looks like a very solid each-way play here. City Escape – 11/2 (Each-Way)

7.00 Wolverhampton: Gamble Responsibly At BetUK Handicap: Next up for me will be the 7.00 and this is another Class 6 handicap which this time is contested over a distance of six furlongs. I’m with Radiant Angel here who represents Joe Ponting and is ridden by Nicola Currie. He’s an eleven-raced maiden, however, he has been edging down the weights as a result and has gone close on several occasions including most recently at Kempton last week, when he finished fourth and just a length and a quarter behind the winner. He’ll contest this off the same and I think that he’s got every chance of going close again here. Radiant Angel – 5/1 (Each-Way)

7.30 Wolverhampton: Best Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap: My third and final selection comes within the 7.30 and this is more Class 6 handicap action and this time ridden over a mile and half of a furlong. I’m taking a chance on Night Arc in this particular affair for Brett Johnson and Rossa Ryan. He’s not found his feet for this yard, however, he’s tumbled down the weights at a rapid rate and is now nineteen pounds below his last winning mark, with that success coming within a Class 4 handicap at Sandown. He didn’t run too badly either last time nout when fifth at Kempton and this will be his first assignment within Class 6 company, the jockey booking is also eye-catching. Night Arc – 5/1 (Each-Way)
