1.08 Exeter: Hall Down Hill Stayers’ Conditional Jockeys’ Training Series Handicap Hurdle: My first selection of the week comes within the 1.08 at Exeter which is a Class 4 handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys over two miles and seven furlongs. I like Jack Sprat here for Jamie Snowden and Will Featherstone who takes off eight pounds. He’s been running adequately over fences this term, however, now has the added bonus of eight additional pounds coming off his back. If you consider that, winning a race of this nature looks well within his grasp off his current mark. He should be going well. Jack Sprat – 5/2 (Win)
6.00 Wolverhampton: Gamble Responsibly At BetUK Handicap: It’s over to Wolverhampton for my second selection of the day and the 6.00 which is a Class 6 handicap over five furlongs. I like Buraback here for Derek Shaw and Joanna Mason. He posted his best effort for a while over course and distance last week when finishing fourth of eleven and just a length and a quarter behind the winner. He remains on the same mark for this particular assignment which is thirteen pounds lower than his last winning one. Buraback – 7/2 (Win)
7.00 Wolverhampton: BetUK: It’s Where The UK Bets Handicap: My third and final selection of the day comes within the 7.00 at Wolverhampton which is a Class 4 handicap over six furlongs. I’m with Many A Star in this particular affair for the team of Jamie Osbourne and Rob Hornby. He’s ran well on his last two outings over this distance with his most recent effort coming at Southwell earlier this month when finishing third of ten. He’s been dropped a further pound for his troubles there and can once again be bang there at the business end of things here on a mark four pounds lower than his last winning one.
